Maui is a special place. In recent years, I have visited Maui every year and almost always, I find something new, but also something old – fond memories of this tropical island in paradise.

Snorkeling and place to see turtles. Haven’t been in the water there, yet.
Water is pretty close to shore, but is in a nice bay. Can get windy depending on time of year.

Saw several sea turtles here several days in a row, but can be rough waters and snorkeling with coral.
Nice view of the water/sunset in distance over the Kapalua Golf Resort. Also hosts the special music and food night called “Beats & Eats.” Yelp
Asian fusion also owned by same Top Chef of Leoda’s with pretty good food. Went when it first opened and it was a long wait, but the wait may be much better now. Yelp
Great intimate whale watching experience on a small vessel with 18 passengers max and a nice crew. Dolphins sometimes included. Seems to be good for kids especially those who like marine animals. Yelp

Catching the sunrise at the summit is one of the popular things to do, but the sunrise or sunset itself can be hit or miss (bring warm clothing or blankets as the summit at dawn or dusk is cccold!). Arrange to ride a bicycle down the roads from the top or take a hike on the volcano during the day. Yelp

The Road to Hana is a beautiful curvy and long one with waterfalls, rainforests, beaches and more. Stop at the Halfway to Hana Snack Shop for banana bread and snacks or grab some coconut candy along the road.
Dolphin and whale watching trips to Lanai Island or spend a leisurely day walking and exploring around Lanai. Ferries leave from Lahaina, though the cost can be a bit high.
